• If the vehicle identification number is incorrect or the vehicle is coming from out of the province and has never been registered in Alberta, you will be charged for the vehicle information report even though you will not obtain results.
• The vehicle information report will only provide the number of liens on the vehicle not the lien details. If you want to know who the lien holder is and other details about the lien, you will need to complete a personal property lien search.
• The vehicle information report will not provide any information about the vehicle if the vehicle has never been registered in Alberta or during periods when the vehicle was registered in another province. The vehicle information report only provides information that was collected in Alberta.
